Doctor Strange Review

My Rating: 7/10

I wish I would of seen this on the big screen because the special effects are amazing. Heads up it’s a storyline based on a blend of eastern religion & sorcery/occult ideas wrapped in a current popular science multiverse theories. So depending on one’s concerns about all that, it might not be your thing. But if you’re able to suspend reality on some of that, there’s other aspects that are out in front of the other superhero flicks but some tired cling ons too. First off I’m exhausted with the impending doom/take over the world by the big bad bogey man narrative. It’s almost as tiresome as the space station narrative in the StarWars reboots. Please writers, let go of the tried and true, be daring for peet’s sake! I thought cucumber-patch nailed the character and his acting was believable especially in the first quarter. But the switch from science guy to guru Spirit dude was too awkward to me. That may of been the editing but it was less believable to me. I did love the arch of pride & humility storyline. Over all I’d give it 7/10.
