Never engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man. -Winston Churchill
Welcome, all who enter here. Some of you come searching, some thirsty, others come like thieves. You may be here to vanquish or pillage with no thought or care and others gather light to kindle fires from here or there. May your time in this space arm you better for whatever battle or pugilist you face. Collect till your quiver is full of piercing truth, goodness or beauty.
This is a furnace of fire..some flame and smoke, glowing embers and dusty ash. It’s intended to be a place of hammer and anvil, of sparks leaping and iron smelting. Even stone can become a piece of literature under the finger of God. So expect to be ignited and transformed, these are dangerous days of illumination.
My ideas, values and beliefs are tattered flags planted on ground not easily taken and won’t be surrendered without a fight. I wish for friends more than enemies, but won’t sacrifice what is true and right just to pacify or pander to avoid conflict. If you have light i’ve yet to see, than I welcome the fight to make me wiser by your words or wounds.
“We must love them both, those whose opinions we share and those whose opinions we reject, for both have labored in the search for truth, and both have helped us in finding it.” -Thomas Aquinas
